Today I have created my inside cover of the final CD Digipak as I have now created the oustide cover. I really like how simple the inside cover looks as it reflects the genre of folk-pop but also looks quite effective and eye-catching. I like that I have carried on with the same theme of the yellow colour and the flower as it shows continuity from the outside cover. I also feel that it adds more interest and appeal to the CD Digipak. I really like how I have placed the yellow flower on the panel where the CD goes as when you take the CD out, it would reveal the image of the flower. This adds more creativity to the inside cover of the Digipak. I also added the artist's name around the flower to make it more interesting but also looks quite contrasting as the bright colour of the yellow flower is against the black writing of the artist's name. This makes the CD Digipak more eye-catching and striking which would appeal to the consumers and would interest them.
Here is the inside cover that I have created fro my final CD Digipak:
Step 1- colouring the background and placing portrait on the inside cover:
Like my outside cover, I coloured the background yellow so that the colour theme is the same in the inside as well as the oustide so that the continuity carries throughout the Digipak. I then took the photo of Ellie looking down and using the 'magnetic lasso' tool, I traced around the outline of Ellie so it would be easier to cut Ellie out. Before cutting, I feathered the image so that the edges would be softened and look more refined. Using a soft eraser, I went over the outline and made the edges look softer. After pasting the image in the right place, I decided to change the contrast and make the pitcure brighter so that it looked more striking and appealing instead of the dull, dark colour of the original photo.
