After adding the song, I went through my footage that I filmed and started cutting out bits where I could add for my chorus. For the first part of the chorus, I added the footage of Ellie on the bench and I edited using the parts where she lip syncs. I used the footage of the lip syncing as I feel that it looked more interesting and also that Ellie would look more involved with the song. When I filmed the footage on the bench, I filmed from different angles and perspectives so that it gives me more variety in my video. For the first line of the chorus, I first used the shot of Ellie standing behind the bench. I then used and edit different shots of her sitting on the bench, one of her sitting of the right side and then switched to her sitting on the left side of the bench.
I then experimented with using different transitions and put the 'cross dissolve' between different shots. I really like this effect as one shot slowly emerges to a different shot. It makes it look really interesting and quite quirky. When I added the transition, the lip syncing and the lyrics of the song immediately matched so that it made it easier for me to the editing.
