Troubles with Final Cut Pro

In Friday's lesson, I was planning on starting my editing of my music video as my music video is the only task that I need to make a start on. However, when I turned on my Mac and tried to open Final Cut Pro, it did not allow me. I could not process Final Cut Pro so I could not make a start on editing on Friday. However, all my footage is on my Mac and if the problem is not solved, I would be planning on doing my editing on another spare Mac and save all my footage on a hard drive so I can transfer it onto a different Mac.
